Raft + Brim settings

Greetings,

When using both a raft and brim the brim is currently being placed around the raft and not around the parts themselves.

It would be helpful if the brim was located on the parts as they sit on the raft.

Thanks!

Re: Custom Infill Angles

+1

Agreed - We need more control over infill angles for infill and support structures

Re: Increase Overlap Of Perimeter Extrusions

Why would you want to increase the overlap?

You should be able to effectively increase the overlap by increasing the extrusion multiplier under the extruder tab. If your goal is to eliminate the gap fill you can increase the extrusion width in that same tab.

Re: Last layer settings

Couple of options: 1) Change the layer height to be an even multiple of your part's height 2) Change the height of your part to be an even multiplier of your layer height S3D is trying to make the part the correct height and will add a partial thickness layer if the top layer is greater than or equa...

Re: More intelligent options for the prime pillar

@hes_delft You can reduce the extrusion amount during the prime pillar by entering this command into the post processing on the "Scripts" tab: {REPLACE "; prime pillar" "M221 S90 ; prime pillar"} {REPLACE "; inner perimeter" "M221 S100 ; inner perimeter&q...

Re: Toggle dual nozzle temps with tool change script?

you need something like this in the tool change script: G1 X0 Y40 F4000 ; move to wait for temperatures {IF NEWTOOL=0}M104 S165 T1; set T1, inactive extruder to 165 C {IF NEWTOOL=0}M109 S205 T0; Set T0, new active extruder to T0 Temperature and wait for it to reach temperature before proceeding. {I...

Re: Extrusion width for supports

One way to do this: Create process 1 to print the part Create process two with zero infill, zero top and bottom layers and zero perimeters. Modify extrusion width to be thinner and use process two only for the support . Works great. I did this with a PETG part I was making with 0.8mm nozzle and like...
