My Experience with PolyMax and PolySupport

I've been using Polymaker's PolyMax for a lot of my prints and they print extremely easy and sanding the parts have been a breeze. I ran across a part of my model that is forcing me to generate supports despite how terrible the quality of the model surfaces end up when printed on top of supports. So...

Do you mind sharing the settings? How did you manage to get the layer above support structure so smooth?

Re: How to make printer extrude a little after print is done

Add "G1 E##" where ## is the millimeters you want to extrude to the beginning of your end script. Probably after the first line so the extrusion happens at the right hotend temp. Thank you for your answer! But what if I want to extrude off the platform? Should I write like this? What's a ...

How to make printer extrude a little after print is done?

Hello, How can I make the printer extrude a little bit of filament (about 3cm ~ 5cm) off the platform when it is done printing? My starting script is: M73 P0 ; enable build progress G162 X Y F3000 ; home XY maximum G161 Z F1200 ; home Z minimum G92 Z-5 ; set Z to -5 G1 Z0 ; move Z to 0 G161 Z F100 ;...

Skipped/weak/under extrude sections at the starting points

I'm getting some thin lines at the starting points of each layer in some of the parts. almost 1/3 of a section of the print has this problem. Would you please take a look at the factory file and see what is wrong?

I am wondering why your extrusion multiplier is 0.95?

What do you get if its set to 1.0?
I haven't tried with 1.00 multiplier. The recommended multipliier for PLA was 0.9 and I increased it slightly.

Re: What causes this?

The lower temperature will definitely help prevent oozing, which may have been why you were seeing the holes in the print. If it oozes too much while moving, then there will be a void when it actually starts again. Although you could increase the "extra restart distance" setting if you ne...

Re: What causes this?

I think I found what was causing the missing outline on the last print.

The retracted filament was coming out much smaller when it was starting a new layer. I think I need to reduce retraction and restart position amount.
