Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

Now, when they release v5 I will download the demo and if it prints with my legacy Lulzbots and the Taz Pros in my shop out of the box and it blows my socks off, I will buy the software. so, you are not s3d user? as s3d never ships (and afaik never shipped) a "demo" nor "trial", you buy it and then...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

I will be just blunt with this; There is absolutely ZERO advantage to using Simplify3D v4 when compared to other current software. I doubt v5 will change that. Back 4 years ago, sure, Simplify3D was the best on the market. Now they lag in every respect. The only reason I would buy Simplify3D now is ...

Re: Anybody got a Taz Pro yet?

Break through? Wow! I may have been debugging Lulzbot's firmware and not knowing it. I have my first prints that I would actually call "usable." I am running a test print using PLA for both heads (I am still nervous about printing with PVA after my first screw up) on a large part, one is support and...

Re: Anybody got a Taz Pro yet?

Please contact our support team at support@simplify3d.com and we can send you a Taz Pro profile to test. Thank you for the profile. The Taz Pro is proving much harder to get tuned in v4.1 than I hoped, mainly due to how parameteized Cura has become over the past 3 years and the Taz Pro apparently n...

Anyone having trouble with thermal runaway errors?
I did but it was a loose wire on the sensor. Once I had the sock on the E3D I had no issues. Sorry for the late reply. I never got notified :-(

Anybody got a Taz Pro yet?

Hello! Has anyone got Simplify3D working with a Taz Pro yet? Mine comes Wednesday. I imagine it's like a Aerostrudder x 2. I have my Taz 6 w/Aerostrudder so dialed in now that I can't miss so maybe that will help. Also, the controller is different (32 bit? 8 bit was fine, not so sure what the other ...

Re: S3D + (Lulzbot Taz 6 * Aerostruder) = Nice!

Thanks for the information! TPU is fine for my application which is impact resistance so luckily it never gets stretched.. just smashed :P I do drone racing and people protect the carbon fiber arm ends with TPU "socks". What is your opinion on going to 1.75mm or staying with 2.85mm? Sorry! I never ...

Print time says 2 hours 11 minutes, 5 hours actual

I installed the 4.1.2 update today. I changed nothing, just loaded and everything was where I left it so I made a new print and it says 2 hours and some minutes in S3D. 5 hours later it finished. S3D has always been pretty close. Is there something going on that I need to reset or change in the new ...

Re: S3D + (Lulzbot Taz 6 * Aerostruder) = Nice!

I am still having issues with the head but at least the heating problem is solved. When you get it tuned right for the filament being used it makes probably the best print on the market under $10,000.00. It's just more susceptible to variation in the filament. Takes more tuning. Glad I could help! ...
