Re: What do these dots mean? 4.1.2?

I think they are retraction points.
Look on the left of the screen for the items with check boxes and uncheck retraction and see if they go away.

Re: Replicator 1 Dual Clone: Extruding on left extruder moves X axis

I recently bought a (very lightly, ~2h) used Qidi Tech I Dual extruder printer; a Replicator 1 Dual clone. After ensuring everything works with the MakerBot software, I updated the firmware to Sailfish 7.7 (later 7.8 beta) and everything continued to work very well with the MakerBot Desktop softwar...

Re: how common is it to change the extrusion multiplier?

I do not adjust the extrusion multiplier much after I find a value that works for a particular filament and machine. For instance I may find that 0.93 work well for PLA on one machine. I might adjust up or down by 0.01 for a particular part but not that often. Calibrating e-steps (extruder only) I t...

Re: ANETA6 nozzle 0,6 fff

If you can't find anything then go back to a good working setup for a 0.4 nozzle. Then change nozzle size to 0.6 and extrusion width to 0.6 and probably slow the print speed down some depending on where it is. Try that out on a simple test cube and see how it does. Most settings should be pretty muc...

Re: UPS for 3D Printer?

To add to this. Look at the UPS as a short term solution for power blips. brownouts, unstable power and brief outages. Mainly to keep the printer going for these short duration events. If your power is out for 5-10 minutes then it is probably going to be out for a lengthy amount of time and then you...

Re: speeding up after finding perfect print settings

Adjust speed in the slicer. You really only need to adjust the overall speed.
See how it prints.
The most likely thing you will need to do is increase the temp from 195 to keep the filament flowing but don't over do it and only as needed.

The other settings should be ok for the most part.

Re: Newbie needs help on selctinbg best material for part

Hi, I'm Dan, I am a newbie when it comes to 3d printing and want to pick your brains on choosing the best material for recreating a part from a record player. The part is small in size and it is made out of a hard, non flexible plastic. It has to be quite precise as it sits mounted on an axle. The ...

Brim One Material, Part Another with Single Extruder.

Ok so how would I make the brim out of one material then switch to another material for the main part using a single extruder printer?

I am using a flex material that can benefit from having a brim made from a stiffer material.

Sortthe profiles list?

Is there a way to sort the profiles that are in the "Select Profile" drop down?

Maybe in a file somewhere?
