Re: Why is S3D still so awful on TAZ out of the box?

Of course there are ways of making one specific feature of a part print as desired, but I would never dream of using such extreme settings just to fix one area of a part.

Just disappointed. I'm sure some day thin walls will work as well in S3D as they currently do in the free softwares out there.

Attached is a .factory example part. Notice the outer hoop. Cura fills this.

Re: Reload Part

Would be super helpful. I go through this workflow on nearly every part lately.

[ADDED] Variable width extrusion and multi layers per island

It's a real pain to get a gap in a thin wall to fill. Free, open source programs have solved this issue. Simplify3D should be able to use a thinner/thicker extrusion as necessary to fill gaps in thin sections (as an option). So many models I can print just fine in Cura that just can't be done in S3D...

Why is S3D still so awful on TAZ out of the box?

I'm feeling irritated after wasting $25 worth of high end filament on a bad part and reverting back to Cura to get a good print. I've been here before - attempt several times to adjust settings, preview looks OK, send the print, get a poor outcome, and go back to plain old Cura. Simplify 3D has grea...

Re: Feature Request: Dynamic Extrusion Width/Gap Fill

+1 +1 +1 +1

This is the only thing that keeps S3D from trouncing every other slicer in every area.

I have wasted so much time and filament trying to perfect thin walled prints that would have been a piece of cake with this function.
