Re: Pause at layer height

Thanks but I think I'll stick to my old way with waiting and manually pause.

Re: Pause at layer height

Still waiting for a respons.
{REPLACE "; layer 10" "M600\n; layer 10"} Will not work on a (my) Ultimaker 2

@Doug_H Sorry for hijacking your thread but I hope you'll get something out of this as well.

Re: Pause at layer height

@jlastofka This is pretty much how I used to do it and to some extent still doing, havent heard the name ’witness’ though ;) I thought more of it as a sacrificial piece. If you can program the printer to stop at a desired height you dont have the need to watch the printer, dont have to be nervous ab...

Re: Pause at layer height

I have a Marlin based printer so M600 sounds like the way for me ;) Should I enter this line in the script box then (for a pause at layer 10): {REPLACE "; layer 10" "M600\n; layer 10"} If so, what happens then? The bed lowers and the head stays in the same position? Will the heaters stay at printing...

Re: Pause at layer height

So the best way to do this currently in Simplify3D is to use a Post-Processing Script. This option is found in the Scripts tab of the Process Settings. Re: Pause at layer height

Hi, I am looking for the Cura equivalent to "pause at height " Does Simplify have this? Or am I going to have to manually create my own gcode to do this? Thank you! Doug Hi Doug and welcome to the forum! I'm too looking for a way to 'pause at height' without having to watch the printer and manually...

Re: After installing 4.1.2

You have to enter the registration information?
I can't remember the exact procedure but you received an username and a password when you purchased the software.

If this isn't what your asking please be more specific

Re: 'Exotic' Filament Thread

Thank you for sharing!
One of these days I'm going to start testing some less common filaments my self, but until then I very much enjoy reading about them and from people who actually have printed with them.

Cheers!

Re: 4.1

Ok, so I just downloaded and installed 4.1.1 but everything is showing as 4.1.0 when opening S3D and it pops up a message saying that a new version (4.1.1) is available. repeat, same results. Any ideas? You are most likely using the same shortcut as previous to installing 4.1.1, thus you are openin...

Please make an announcement like this when a fully tested and bug free version is available
Who are you to tell me what to do? And... did I mention that it was flawless in any way?
