Sphere printing issues

I made a nom nom guy bookmark and for whatever reason at a certain point, the diameter changes and makes the sphere, which should be perfectly round, look weird. The top portion looks more perfectly round than the bottom. Model looks fine both in tinkercad and in simplify3d. Is this a Z axis issue? ...

Calibrating Flexion Extruder on FFCP Printer

Hi all, I have a few Flash Forge Creator Pro printers and they are all dialed in and working great printing PLA. I installed a Flexion extruder onto one of them yesterday as an upgrade and so far all my prints have been coming out stringy and fall apart easy, as if the layers aren't sticking togethe...

Dual Extrusion Support

I'm trying to print a model in two colors, bottom half is one color and top half another. It requires one support beam, but once it gets to the other color, the support beam slowly starts to fade away and doesn't reach the top of my part like its supposed to. It would make sense to print the support...

Oozeshield Issues

The ozzeshield has worked for me so far in past prints where after the tool change it would use that tool to create the next layer of oozeshield, so on and so forth. However, on a particular print of mine, for the first time when it changes the tool it does it is should and makes the next layer of t...

Re: PLA Bed Temp and Warping

As you figured out, this is due to the ambient temperature. I would not recommend increasing your bed temperature as this will affect the base layer of the printed part. Definitely enclose the Build chamber in all directions. If possible, use one of those weather sealing strips. In this way you can...

PLA Bed Temp and Warping

Hey guys. Have some questions about PLA printing and warping. I use to print objects straight to the glass with 60C bed temp and it would be fine (This was during the summer). Now that is is winter here and has been colder the past few months, large prints would start to warp and lift up off the bed...

Tool change retraction script for Dual Print

I customized my startup script to retract the idle nozzle after the initial startup wipe/purge that way it doesn't get all over the place when the working extruder does its job for the first layer. This is the line I added, more specifically the "E" for the idle nozzle for its wipe G1 X120 Y-50 Z0.1...

Re: Apply retraction to 2nd nozzle at startup on dual prints

Any update on these? Thinking about giving one of them a go. Using a FFCP and trying to get better dual color prints. Issue I'm having now is when using both a prime pillar and ooze shield, it doesnt do the brim, so it gets right to printing and the idle nozzle oozes so when it starts printing it lo...

Re: Layer Shifting Issue

Thanks, yea Im thinking about cleaning the stepper motor out and see if that helps. I doubt it though, because I tried printing it again using just the single extruder in 1 color (the one with the clicking noise) and it came out pretty much fine, a couple lines but not bad. So it looks like its only...

Re: Layer Shifting Issue

Ive also started to notice some clicking noises as well, not sure if its related. Ive noticed other parts (different models) I've printed with a similar layer shift issue. Even printed two of the same model and they have the same similar errors in the same spots,, not exact, but close enough to be n...
