Re: Change G-Code During USB Print

It could be done, but you would need to post-process (or actually compute) the gcode on the fly. If someone had the motivation, an Octoprint plugin could be made to do this. If it was integrated into a slicer you would just have some kind of "callback" to the slicer that would indicate tha...

Re: Delete an object from a group while printing

Marlin firmware 2.0 now includes M486 commands which allow cancelling of individual objects. See: https://reprap.org/wiki/G-code#M486:_Cancel_Object

This feature can save lots of prints and should be something included by slicers.

Not surprisingly, S3D has been behind in updates that allow this feature to work with octoprint natively. With S3D it requires that you use a process per object.

Re: S3D Profile for MMU2

You can still use S3D with MMU2. You just have to use a post-processor for your tower: https://github.com/spegelius/filaswitch

Re: Multiple infills per object

These is easily achieved in other slicers (Cura, Slic3r) by using mesh modifiers that can be placed at specific parts of the model and various settings can then be adjusted. This is probably the best way to do this unless there ends up being a way to do specific vertex selection on the model itself.

Works in Cura. You provide the dimensions of the print head assembly.

Re: Gyroid infill

This is actually getting to be more and more important to me myself as for same amount of infill/strength I'm getting WAAAAAAAAAAAY faster prints as due to gyroid having the smooth curve the head can move waaaaaaaaaaay faster then with for e.g. hexagon This actually doesn't make sense to me. Curves...

Re: Support for MMU2

That sounds like a great plan. Contact support so they can help each customer individually, instead of providing the information/tutorial so all users can have the information.

Re: Best Glue for PETG & PLA

I've had good success with Loctite 401 for bonding PLA. Still it looks like there is a new adhesive that might take the cake for bonding PLA called 3DGloop. Here it is tested against cyanoacrylate and epoxy and the 3DGloop won handily. In fact the PLA failed before the adhesive failed: 3DGloop is d...
