Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

We actually already provide 1 year of free software updates along with your license purchase. This means that if you purchased the software now, you would still be able to upgrade to any version released within the next 12 months for free. what is actually more important for most of us is the refun...

Re: Gyroid infill

This is actually getting to be more and more important to me myself as for same amount of infill/strength I'm getting WAAAAAAAAAAAY faster prints as due to gyroid having the smooth curve the head can move waaaaaaaaaaay faster then with for e.g. hexagon This actually doesn't make sense to me. Curves...

Re: CAD Recommendation to use with S3D

any cad tool will work with s3d as long as it can export STL out of free app's blender is the most stable & powerful one, but has a very steep learning curve .. it's best free thing to do modeling of organic stuff .. it's a mesh only modeler (don't understand solids) freecad is organized as enginee...

Re: Gyroid infill

How would you expect this type of infill to operate when combined with the existing infill options given by Simplify3D? Do you have any feedback on how you'd want to see it integrated? just like any other (hexagon or rectilinear or ...) infill type .. This is actually getting to be more and more im...

Re: repeatable crash (factory included)

@dkightley good find, was in hurry so didn't have time to mess with it too much, but that works, looks like overlap + Crossing Outlines crashes is as devs say @jake good, thx for the workaround, hopefully 4.1.2 will solve it fast, I guess with repeatable test case that you do understand you can fix ...

Re: Support Structures Similar To Meshmixer

Autodesk's Meshmixer provides tree style supports for models, which can already be exported as their own model and then imported next to your part in Simplify3D. This was mentioned already by Ahri. (Thanks Ahri!) well if we could, after we import object+model from meshmixer, click on one of them an...

Re: S3D very crashy suddenly lately

the only way I managed to solve this was to dump the profiles to PAPER restart the s3d from scratch create manually all profiles from my notes every time I tried dumping and importing profiles back I would start to get crashes :( the original corruption was caused by bad nvidia driver that was crash...

Re: Support Structures Similar To Meshmixer

I've read that using the "Separate Connected Surfaces" fixes this, the issue with that is when the model has a crap ton of these connection issues S3D "Stops Responding" for hours before it finally decides to do its thing. splitting the surfaces is not an easy task, especially for meshes generated ...

Re: Is there a way to reverse the direction of print?

no you cannot (and it changes direction using some weird algo... I would love to at least be able to tell it to always go in one direction :D ) ... you have issue with priming the nozzle, just before you change layer you probably retract and then there is not enough pressure in the nozzle when it st...
