Re: Guide how to print using 0.1mm nozzle ?

I have not used .1mm nozzle in ages but maybe some of my experience from 10+ years ago could help... The slicers were very basic (skeinforge) and the extruders were selfmade out of aluminium with khantal wire wrapped around them and ... all very DIY but it worked anyhow .5mm nozzle that was what mos...

Re: Arachne

If you had added Arachne perimeters option You have this in 4.1.2 already and it works rather good, even better than cura and slic3r (and slic3r forks like prusa slicer, super slicer..). That is one of the few functionalities S3D had waaaaaaaaaay before FOSS slicers and it was debugged and made to ...

Re: Horrible noise in X1-Carbon. Any ideas?

https://d.pr/v/2fiuzk I hear this on the start of the print after machine is turned on (I think it is not every start, only after poweron) during homing, I assumed they use homing without limit switches (detecting motor stall) and that they configured motor current bit high so the motors are audibl...

Re: Cubic Infill Over Extruding

that solid layer looks overextruded too What makes you say that? I can not be 100% sure, look at the image, between every two middle of lines you have spill between them that is higher than the line made by the flat part of the nozzle. See how light reflects on it and how uneven it is. It is not ov...

Re: v5.0.2 Amazing ON-Air supports!

Never had these issues on v4.... 4.x was behaving similarly with this type of parts so same "in the air" support happened in 4.x too ... and similar issues with similar geometry happen with other slicers too .. new tree supports are the only that I have not seen this yet (YET!! maybe ther...

Re: v5.xx - Laughable auto-arrange features

Not even a single comment on this? wow 2D optimal filling of the space with arbitrary shapes (what is required here for auto-arrange) is one of the most complicated algorithms and the perfect one does not exist. Some do this better than others but it is something we (humans) can do fairly easy whil...

Re: Creality Cloud?

Looking at https://www.crealitycloud.com/post-detail/6225cf9cfc277e6f868d4d50 and https://www.crealitycloud.com/software-firmware/plugins it should be possible but it is not easy. You can find there 2 open source plugins, one for cura other for octoprint, you can extract the methods that upload file...

Re: Newbie PETG Issues

1. this on the image is WET filament, as simplescott wrote, you have to dry it in order to print properly 2. why are you printing it in this direction (prongs up) ?! this type of clip needs to be printed on the side for max strength 3. fan 50 to 100% 4. print min 4 of these clips in the same time in...
