Re: Global Offset tag in profiles

Thanks Brian. Yes, these tags are key for me as to why I appreciate S3D so much. I've got quite a few enabled for material specific settings. For some reason I missed this one...though now that I searched the .fff while modifying it, I found it. Go figure.

Global Offset tag in profiles

Hi. I'm just wondering what the tag is to enable saving "Global G-Code Offsets" per material in the profile file. Unfortunately I've discovered that the Flexplate system has a thermal expansion property and the simplest way to adjust this would be with that offset. It varies with temperature and is ...

Re: Bridges not processed

Hey Shaiss. Yes, it's very frustrating. Though your particular issue is slightly different. Your features would be considered more "top solid layers", as defined by the control in the layers tab. I agree however that it would be nice to have a some new exception controls for those as well. Be aware,...

Re: Cooling Fan questrion

Latest Sailfish does at least have the ability to set fan speed from the printer interface before starting a print. Hugely helpful. Would be nice if x3g could support this though. Especially for instances where I'd like to have full fan speed for bridges, but a lesser value for the rest of the print...

Re: Bridges not processed

Which is really something that needs to be addressed. Oddly enough, I was just logging in to see if there was some news of changes on this front. At the moment we have a half baked implementation for control over bridges. This has been discussed in several past threads as well. Unfortunately we have...

Re: bridging issue

Glad discussing helps. Sounds like you're much more experienced than me in all of this though, so I won't contribute any more confusion to the matter in the hopes that your predicament gets solved. Well, beyond what I'm writing in this post :) Thought it'd be helpful to try in Cura for instance too....

Re: bridging issue

Hi. Not sure I can help, but thought the discussion was interesting to try and work towards a solution. It seems to me that the behaviour you're running into is the fact that "Tops" and Bottoms" are always inside perimeters. And what you're doing is a "bridge" of sorts, but even more significantly/s...

Re: Bridging bug

Yeah. I've been in contact with them over the last week. The upside is that I've always received a kind response. Unfortunately I'm trying to make sure they understand that this is not a "new feature" request, or a something that "some users would like to have behave differently" (or similar receive...

Re: Wrong slice in cylinder

I've seen similar results before and it's usually due to the model and not the slicer. Sometimes the way faces are created on curvatures upon export creates some interesting geometry that the slicer then follows.

Re: Bridging bug

Wow. I just created a redundant post about this and contacted support as well. Didn't know how to search for it. Can't believe this has been an issue for this long. This is an advertised feature that simply does not work. Bridging overrides are only half implemented if they don't adjust perimeters a...
