Re: Crashing, saving profiles, closing profile window, saving factory files, etc.

Hi again. Glad I could help shed some light. The 11.1k came from the default profile that is installed when you set up S3D. From memory, I currently don’t have any less than that. I’m on holiday at the moment, but I will have a look when I get back for you. Be a couple of days... Cheers, Susi.

Re: Crashing, saving profiles, closing profile window, saving factory files, etc.

Hi cmarko, What you have is likely a corrupted profile (FFF) that is 'infecting' the others. Go through your saved profiles and try to export each one in turn. If a profile is badly corrupted, it will crash S3D. After you restart, just delete the one that crashed. Do NOT load or try to use any furth...

Re: CAD Recommendation to use with S3D

Fusion 360 is incredible value (free) for hobbyist, student, and business startup use.

It's Autodesk Inventor's little brother.

Re: Slicing issue.

Hi mntbighker, I don't know if this is the same thing, but check the size of the file on the SDCard if you are slicing to the HDD than copying to an SDCard. I have had an issue when doing this sometimes. Simplify3D says it has finished slicing and so I immediately copy the file to the SDCard. In my ...

Re: Thank you for 4.1.1

It could be the best slicer on market. I have Idea Maker and I really don't like it. Why? Ide Maker has more features than S3D right now... yes... but isn't user-friendly... S3D is easy to use and all windows and functions are grouped together.... I don't know if you noticed, but quite a few of the...

Re: Thank you for 4.1.1

Thank you for the quick turnaround time on this. I have to still check that the show-stopper bugs (for me) have gone, but I have to say that my hopes were raised significantly when I saw this in the release notes - " Updated skirt and brim placement so that they stay closer to the model outline...

Re: 4.1 No gcode created. Total print time 0

Any profile worked.

I tested a homegrown CR10S profile, a FlashForge Creator Pro, and an Ender-3.

I know it's a bit brutal, but have you tried resetting Simplify3D (both of them, just in case) back to Default?

NOTE: You WILL lose any store profiles and settings.

Re: 4.1 No gcode created. Total print time 0

Hi FalloutBe

I just did the same as Doug in both 401 and 410 -

Both versions slice and produce gcode.

I think Doug has given the best guess. I'm stumped. Sorry. :(

Re: Bug Report: Missing Title Bar

Now that is just weird.
That blows. :(

I’m sorry that was not the solution.

All I can suggest in the meantime then, is go back to the earlier version if you can?
It’s what a lot of us have had to do.

Hopefully the guy can get this and other bugs fixed sometime soon.

Cheers,
Susi.
