Re: Copyright notices in Simplify3D

Likely because a lot of companies still have a mind set that Free = Bad & Paid = Good

But its been well over 2 years now when they said about v5 and all the do is try and plug v4 on social media as if it was the latest and greatest to likely hope to top up some bank accounts.

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

Wow! The speculation here seems a bit harsh. Why not just take them at their word that they are developing a new infrastructure? As of the blog post of Aug 2020, they are very clear as to what they are working on. As a professional software developer, I have seen ambitious projects take way longer ...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

Well it's time i say good bye because this slicer don't seem to be going anywhere anymore and i have already started to move my workflow to other slicers. It's a sha...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

Months later and can still not show anything they have been working on to show a paying community that they are in fact "working" on something and that is the main problem, if they still don't have anything to show now then it not looking good. It's a real shame as like many who are unhapp...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

I don't think it is nice to talk about other software here even though you are disappointed about Simplify3D, that may be one of the reasons they modify the posts here - it's still their forum. Also negative talk that updates will never happen isn't helping anybody and not based on facts. That bein...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

And you think by removing posts that tell you home truths about how bad the company is run is going to help? Anyway I really want to say that Simplify3D is a truly great piece of software ! We are not complaining about the software itself, but about missed promises and the lack of transparency abou...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

I have been keeping an eye on this thread and i feel a few things should be said to bridge the gap between the community and simplify3D. How much is this "small" update fee likely to be? you don't need to give a 100% right price but you could give a ball park range you plan for it to be wi...

Re: Cannot remove internal supports when you have open the cross section view.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. We were able to test and verify this in our office. I have documented this issue and made the development team aware of it. Thanks again to everybody for being so diligent and fast with these reports! Any news on this being fixed yet? this bug is a ...

Re: Cannot remove internal supports when you have open the cross section view.

Any way we could download a past version? this bug is stopping me from being able to paid work in a timely matter because adding to add support by hand one by one to just where i want/need support is a pain now.
