Re: Unusual request, pen plotting text problem? (Future Guid

I don't think you are going to be able to achieve what you're wanting to do.... S3D will always "extrude" round all perimeters....even where there's a thin web of thickness equal to the extrusion width. It's just the way it works! You'll always get two extrusion paths down a thin walled s...

Manageable Shells

User defined number of shells by feature or by region/area would be useful when threading holes. If a part only needs 2 outer shells but you have threaded features, the part would fail if you print with 2 shells. 2 shells for threaded features is not sufficient. I've tapped 2 shell features before a...

Re: Vase Mode in multi-process prints

+1 I have a square tube test object for testing filament, as seen in many YouTube videos. I designed it with 0.4mm wall thickness and when I print it, I walk away, not realizing it takes about an hour and a half to print this 40mm tube. I looked into it and realized it was printing 2 shells at 0.4mm...

Re: Conical supports

I have never done it myself, but I have seen this type of "tree" support system. I've seen them online as well as some parts made by end-users who upload to Thingaverse. The concept seems pretty sound. However, the TRUNK must be strong enough to support whatever is above. I suppose the tru...

Re: Spoke infill pattern

+1... or +2 Yes, this feature would be awesome for concentric objects like drones. For the most part, printing "whatever" and "however" isn't a huge problem but when printing small objects like micro drones and such, sometimes there is more infill on one side or another. I think ...
