When combining several models into one, why would simplify3d print each model in the same layer at different speeds? Notice how the belly is printing much slower than the body. Yes I do have the slow down layers under x seconds checked but even so the belly should print at the same speed as the body...
My core xy printer has it's home position on the rear left of the build plate. I've recreated this in S3D but it automatically mirrors prints the wrong way. My printer prints exactly as S3D shows in the preview. I have to mirror the parts in the x-axis to get them to match the STL. Correct orientati...
This model is fine for vase mode. Turns out the issue was my extrusion width was set to 1.2mm to give the model a bit more strength. Once I lowered it to 1mm and upped the temp it came out fine. Vase mode cut 30hrs (yes 30hrs!) from the print time
So you are having two tools, or extruders, right? You need just two processes, one for each extruder. Now, on each process you must select the model you want for the tool AND the purge/waste model. Imagine I am printing a cube and have set the perimeter shells to 3 with an under-speed at 40%. Is there a way to get all 3 shells print at 40% under-speed rather than just the outermost shells? This would help combat blobs. The idea is to ensure that the extruder has been ‘primed’ to be at the corr...
