Re: First Layer Incosistent

If your printer bed is so uneven that it's affecting the appearance of the first layer, then the only solution is to get a new bed! But do you really mean that the bed has an uneven surface? Or are you saying that the bed may be flat....but one corner is lower than it's diagonally opposite corner? ...

Re: First Layer Incosistent

Okay, I was trying to avoid a raft. I may end up having to go that route for now though.

I don't really like how the print looks when using a raft, but at least the first layer would look consistent.

Re: First Layer Incosistent

I plan on putting a new glass plate on the bed if that is actually the problem at some point in time, but not sure if that is the cause or not for certain. My machine has auto-leveling which I suppose could actually be the issue if it is not leveling properly. I plan on trying it without the auto-le...

First Layer Incosistent

Hello! My bed appears to be uneven slightly as some spots are too far away and some spots are too close. I have went through the leveling process many times and I think it's about as level as it's going to get. Without replacing the bed or something like that, is it possible to adjust the first laye...

Re: Gaps in Outside Perimeter Between Layers

I have done some further testing. I can print out of the other side of my printer perfectly with same filament, settings & temps. So this would indicate to me that it has to be something wrong with the right side. I then proceeded to change tip to a brand new tip to make sure it wasn't the probl...

Re: Gaps in Outside Perimeter Between Layers

Why not attach a factory file for what you're printing. That way, others can see what your settings are....and may be able to suggest what you can do. Hello again! I suppose I probably should post the factory file, but didn't think about it with my initial post. Attached is the factory file. Thanks...

Re: Gaps in Outside Perimeter Between Layers

I tried swapping the nozzle with a known good .4mm nozzle and it did the same thing once it was about half way done with the model.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Gaps in Outside Perimeter Between Layers

It looks like it may be just skipping parts of the layer.

Gaps in Outside Perimeter Between Layers

I recently switched to a .3mm nozzle so I could print a small gear out better. I noticed when printing a simple cube I am getting gaps between the layers of the perimeter. Not sure what's causing this as the first part of the cube turned out great. I have attached a picture better showing the proble...

Re: Tips for Printing Gear

I trick that I use when I don't have access to the small nozzle is to edit the gear a bit to move the "tips" of the gears further from the part. This is not hard to do when you are making gears from scratch, editing the STL - not that simple.. Then I print it with thinnest "extrude d...
