Re: PETG settings top layer issues

Increasing the infill density to 30+% is the surest way to minimize the PETG top layer low print quality problem. I use multiple processes to change the infill density 3 to 4 layers before every "top" layer when printing with PETG. Would be nice if there was an option to do this automatically simula...

"First Layer Width" affect on first layer fill

In my opinion, the "Layer -> First Layer Settings -> First Layer Width" setting doesn't do what it should, in fact I would go so far as to say it has the opposite effect in terms of improving print quality or adhesion. My opinion is based on observing the effect of increasing the value and the resul...

Re: Surface printed on top of infill issue

I'm not sure this is the same issue as the one you are referencing. The OP was asking for a way to put an outline around the infill. I think you're talking about extending the solid fill more. Either way, these are both extra options and I wouldn't call either a bug. Right now, the software puts so...

Surface printed on top of infill issue

Is there a way to force an outline of an interior surface to to be printed when its layers are printed on top of fills? interior surface on infill.jpg interior surface on infill closeup.jpg Some filament materials (ex. ABS) need to be printed (attached) to something otherwise it draws back like a ru...

Restrict (Eliminate) Rapid Movement Over Print Area

Is there a setting in S3D (or combination of settings and other techniques) to eliminate rapid (non printing ) motion from traversing across a printed area?

This would improve print quality by eliminating the occasional thin whisker of material from being deposited in the just printed layer.
