Re: Zoom to mouse rather than center of build volume

I think you need to consider zooming to center of table. The build volume has little meaning on small parts and that is where zoom is handiest, trying to put a surface of a small part on the table. Currently for small parts they often drop off the bottom of the screen when zooming. Zoom to cursor wo...

Re: Creality Ender 5 Plus profile

Actually I might not have installed this one after all. Just realized I probably reinstalled the one Simplify3d sent me. So frustrating....

Re: Creality Ender 5 Plus profile

How does this differ from the one from Simply3d? I have a new 5 plus that drives the print head off the edge in the left front corner when I try to print a part. Homing and Aux level and learning all work fine until I try to print a part made under Simplify3d. This one did the same thing. Also the d...

Missing top layers in version 4.0

Just downloaded the new 4.0 and was greatly disappointed by first print done using it. This is a part I have printed before with 3.1.1 and not with these results. Seems it doesn't handle what I call internal top layers. It also made some strange moves in the first few layers. Looking at the picture ...

Re: Tip of the Day 18 - Advanced Tab, a technical analysis

Could you please update this question of the day to the current software version? There is a setting "Movement behavior" and a setting that is not explained in the latest software. What is the "Maximum allowed detour factor"? What units are expected and what effect does it have. ...

[ADDED] Raft footprint adjustments

I would like to see a feature that would allow tuning of the raft size. I am printing a part that has a very small footprint on the table but is rather large overall. The problem is that the raft appears to take an Ariel view from the Z axis and creates a footprint of the entire part. This is entire...

Re: Factory file vs process exporting?

You totally miss the point. S3D is one of the pay for slicers, one would assume it is designed for a production environment. In a production environment you need control over processes to be repeatable. People are careless, that is one of the reasons computers are so great, they don't forget. Imagin...

Re: Factory file vs process exporting?

I just wish that the "behind the scene" was saved to an external file and not the registry. It would greatly increase the versatility for sharing, but would open up possible abuse by others if the sharing was a group thing. It would also open up a shared file conflict thing and I know even...

Re: Factory file vs process exporting?

Maybe I am just being dense but the way I understand this is "processes" are stored in the registry. If so then the second machine does not have access to them. Second machine being a laptop at one location and first machine being a desktop at the print location. There is little to no desc...

Re: Factory file vs process exporting?

So the simple way to sync two machines is to store a factory file from one and load it to the second machine? It's a shame there is not a more transparent/background way to do this but I can live with this way. Something like a external shared file with process settings but I guess that is not all i...
