Re: Gaps between perimeter shells?

The print bed is 60 degree. The 140 degree you saw is the nozzle. It first heats to 140 while the printer is probing the bed, when it's done probing, then it goes to 220. This is just to make the printer startup a little faster. The 30 cooling, that's 30 percent (not points). I have a blower fan, if...

Re: Gaps between perimeter shells?

The preview does not show anything unusual... I attached the FFF profile, and the STL I was printing at the time. My printer is custom made, cartesian, bowden, 400x400x400mm, with a Duet WiFi board Simplify3D version 4.1.1 Here is a screen shot of the preview: Screenshot from 2019-02-11 02-00-39.png

Re: Gaps between perimeter shells?

I don't think that's it... I have 3 perimeters, and as you can see the infill joins with the 3'rd perimeter. The problem is that the perimeters don't touch!

Also, as I said, this only happens on small holes, the outer perimeter is fine

Gaps between perimeter shells?

Anyone knows why there are gaps between the perimeter shells? The outside perimeters look OK, there are no gaps, this seems to be happening only for holes. Bigger holes seem to be OK, smaller ones are the problem. I don't think it's extrusion multiplier because the solid infill looks OK, it does not...

Lift nozzle and retract after Prime Pillar

I am using a single nozzle, dual extruder (Y configuration), and I enabled Prime Pillar The problem is that when it's done with the Prime Pillar, it does not apply the setting in the first tab "Extruder", it does not retract, and lift nozzle before it moves to the location of the object wh...

TOOL CHANGE from 0 to 0

Is there a way to ignore the tool change right at the beginning? (when old and new tool is 0)

I am using Y splitter for dual color, and have a tool change script.

Change color over prime pillar

I am using a Y splitter with one extruder for dual color printing. Right now in my Tool Change Script I set to Relative coordinates, and move the extruder "G1 X-30 Y30 F4800" which goes over the pillar sometimes (depending where it ends printing the color, and depends on the size of the ob...

Alternate between 2 perimeter shells

Is there a way in S3D to alternate between 2 and 4 shells (for example) ? So first layer will be 2 shells, second layer 4 shells, third layer 2 shells, forth layer 4 shells, etc...

[Edit], Just realised that I posted in the wrong forum, I actually wanted to post in General Discussion, sorry

0.8 mm nozzle, best settings?

I changed the nozzle of my printer from 0.4 mm to 0.8 mm, layer height of 0.5 mm, PLA, and having an E3D V6 hotend, and now I am trying to figure out the settings for best print. It's extruding too much plastic. I changed Extrusion Width to manual at 0.6 mm, but it does not seem to make much differe...
