Re: Surfaces you can see should be printed slow, all else fa

While I can understand why you might want an additional option to control the speed of the final outer layer, I would prefer they add the feature rather than take away useful existing features. It certainly would not be "even better" to get rid of the other layer speed options. You might o...

Re: Estimation Times

It's funny, I see this complaint quite a bit for most slicer and printer management software. I've used S3D Slic3r & Cura along with Octoprint to drive my Prusa i3Mk2S. I pretty much only use S3D with Octoprint anymore and I've found both to be pretty darn good at estimating print times. The thi...

Re: Send GCode Directly to OctoPrint

just mount in windows your OctoPrint Upload folder. Thats it. Every time I save an gcode its on the Pi. Thats so easy. That's certainly works, just not nearly as well as the REST API connection which is also so easy to set up. Every time I save G-code it not only shows up in OctoPrint,(and without ...

Re: Send GCode Directly to OctoPrint

For those of you on Windows, I just built a small background application for uploading gcode and stl files from a local folder to an Octoprint server (via REST). Once configured, it watches for changes to the folder and automatically uploads any added files. Seems to be working well for me, but you...

Re: How to quantify rotation?

While the OP didn't understand all the numeric movements are available in the dialog that appears after double clicking a model, his first impression is understandable and an important thing to note for the UI developers. The visual rotation tool (as well as the visual scale and position tools) abso...

Re: I want to store Notes in a factory file

I was just about to post the exact same thing but found this thread before I did.

I envision a good size note field with scroll bars on the first tab page. I keep physical notes about my library of FFF settings but it would be much nicer to have them embedded in the FFF settings.

Re: Send GCode Directly to OctoPrint

This is something very desirable as a standard and supported implementation regardless of any user hacks and/or work arounds. And it should be ridiculously easy to implement.
