Add perimeter to support structures

Adding a perimeter to support columns would go a long way in improving the quality of support material with lower filament usage. Often the outer edge of the dense support layer is itself printed unsupported and so fails in actually providing any support to the print itself. Adding a perimeter to th...

Improvements to first layer adhesion

Hello! I am finding sometimes that rapid travels between small disconnected areas on the first layer of a print can result in them not sticking down correctly. Implement an optional fix for under size holes

I need to print technical parts that need to have properly sized holes in them, often in locations that can't be drilled after the fact. It seems to be a well known issue with 3D printing that small holes are too small and it is bizarre to think that an "Arc Compensation factor" has not be...

Perimeter around surface layers on top of infill

Excuse the bad description but this is an easy problem to visualize but hard to describe. When printing the first layer on top of infill, the print is effectively overhanging inside the print and will not form the edge of the layer properly. If a perimeter was placed down on the infill which bridges...

First layer movement speed reduction

Hello all! I am trying to dial in my new printer using S3D and I am running up against an obnoxious problem that my be easily fixable with a small tweak to S3D (or maybe it already exists and someone can point out a solution for me) When printing my first layer, I print slowly, 20% speed, in order t...
