Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

I agree that paying for upgrade is the norm for most software companies but I am having a hard time with doing so with S3D because from all the testing I have done with it and other slicers (which are free), there is not enough extra features to warrant it.. Yes the interface is fairly easy to use ...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

Yay, me too, bought on october 2018 and would be rather annoyed to see an eventual fee for the 5.0 release. If that will be the case I will consider having bought S3D a straight up "bad investement". Otherwise I would say it is actually a good investement since the software IS actually good and HAS...

Re: S3D Misses The Mark On Weight And Time Esimates By A Lot!

That is indeed very annoying. It's the one part I really hate about Simplify3D, the terribible undercalculation of time. And for the last update they promised great improvements in time calculation and even showed a stopwatch like it's spot on - it's still not! It's not uncommon for my prints to tak...

Re: Support separation gap, raft speed, and auto arrange distance management

I got a message that the support separation gap feature request was forwarded to the development team. I really hope they will add this, to be able to set the vertical distance between (dense) support and model material would be great. Different materials and layer heights require different distance...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

In another thread somebody posted a ''Way back machine'' link and as far as I can see Simplify3D never stated you would get free updates for life. I have a S3D license for years now and have received a couple of free updates and don't expect or demand this to be free forever. I'm happy with what I h...

Re: Profile handling

I would really like to see this changed. Profiles are just not easily managed in S3D now.

Re: Support separation gap, raft speed, and auto arrange distance management

I also would lik to see this as an added feature. I think raft and support separation gap should/could be the same. I have seen with other slicers and printers this actually works. I had to print a lot of models with 0.3 mm layer height and the bottom surfaces just looked terrible because of the mas...

Re: FlashForge Finder doesn't wait for extruder target temp

Thanks for the help. I didn't get it to work yet sadly. There's a thread here also: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7474 In there somebody writes FlashForge will release firmware that will fix this issue. Turns out that they changed something in the software I think that criples the...

Re: Flashforge Finder User here?

I also have problems with a new FlashForge Finder and S3D, I have contacted support and started this thread: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8719 For me, when I export it as .g and use the standard S3D profile the Finder starts but doesn't wait for the extruder to get to 220 degrees...
