S3D: Can you kindly advise if you intend to add this feature?

Thankyou.

Shortcut to save g-code in one step?

Hi all, I am working on a new printer design. Part of the process is I start prints many dozen times a day, as we tweak the settings and the printer design. I have a script that automatically picks up the gcode file and sends itP to the printer, no action required there. But to slice/save the gcode,...

Re: Tip of the Day 8- Scripts tab, G-Code

That is very strange indeed! FYI I use Simplify 3d daily and have never seen the lumping you are observing. It is not usual behaviour. What version are you on? v4 is out now and has many significant improvements, perhaps you are on it already? -- While obviously better to find the root cause of this...

Re: M106 S[fan_speed_pwm]

I have the same problem.

Does Simplify 3d (v4) no longer parse the "fan_speed_pwm" variable?

Re: Tip of the Day 8- Scripts tab, G-Code

In my limited experience: that doesn't look right. Not seen "lumped" commands before. Wondering if it could be a LF / CR / LF+CR issue? (e.g Windows vs Linux line breaks). Are you _pasting_ this startup code into Simplify 3D, from another source? If so, try just typing the startup code in by hand, b...

Re: Raft separation distance and next layer height problem

Using Simplify 3D v4.0.0

Object and raft separate very easily.

I found the default Seperation Distance of 0.14mm to be problematic, but 0.25mm separated easily.

Using: ABS @260deg, layer height 0.25mm.

Appears issue is resolved.

Re: Absolute values in some cases required

Agreed. Especially for first layer height. e.g on my printer, a first layer height of 0.15mm gives me the best balance of adhesion, without excessive pressure on the extruder stepper. Regardless of whether I am printing at 0.1mm, 0.2mm, or 0.3mm etc - I always require my first layer height to be 0.1...

Re: Absolute Modifications as opposed to percentage

+1. Same issue for same reasons. Personally, I would find it acceptable to simply have a "master switch" in the config, that switches all those edit boxes to either Percentage or Absolute, if S3D wish to keep the interface clean. They could also have it so if one types "80%" in an edit box, then it ...

Re: Tip of the Day 8- Scripts tab, G-Code

Introduction: [previous_Z_position] [current_Z_position] Tool Change G-Code: This tab will insert G-Code on tool change commands. [current_Z_position] Note: the above parameter names have changed as of v3.0, the above will no longer work. The new names are: [previous_position_z] [current_position_z...

How to set secondary nozzle Z-Offset

Hi All, I have a custom dual extruder printer. The second nozzle is lowered to be below the primary nozzle, when needed. So I need to set both a Z offset for the second nozzle (2.1mm) How can I do this? I am thinking some combination of Gcode in ToolChange Script might do the job, likely with a G92,...
