It's not the "updater" that is broken, it's the software development process at S3D that is busted....

After waiting all this time for an upgrade, I'm still OK with paying for it IF it is all it should be after all this time. I have now also had plenty of time to get PrusaSlicer working as a backup. I still prefer S3D, but if they go to a subscription system, I'm out of here...

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to do this easily in the current version. This is one of the MANY feature requests that should have been addressed in the phantom "Version 5" that was originally supposed to be out before the end of 2019...

One trick is to make the top of the hole conical. If the cone is at a steep enough angle, it won't need or generate supports. Just a thought: If the blobs are sticking up a little, the layer shift can be caused if the extruder smacks into one. Try a little Z lift & see if that helps.
