GCode doesn't use an "arc-"command - this is unknown. I mean, GCode does use an arc command http://reprap.org/wiki/G-code#G2_.26_G3:_Controlled_Arc_Move , but most slicers don't implement it and so some firmwares disable it to save memory. And since some firmwares disable it, most slicers...

Cura's ironing does it for *any* "top" surface. So if you print a staircase, it will iron the top of each step.

If we could control accelerations and jerk settings in S3D, we might be able to get better print estimates. But until then, for time estimates, I use http://www.gcodeanalyser.com/ and a lot of people use http://gcode.ws/

@gregspruce, you were absolutely correct! Here is a picture of the same 3D Benchy model, sliced with Slic3r PE, using the stock settings at 0.2 mm layer height. So far, the only luck I've had to get rid of this is to switch to Slic3r PE...

I've tried quite a few variations on coasting/wiping/retraction/extra restart distance. I have one going now with much higher coast and extra restart distance, I'll post my pictures and settings when I get home.
