Re: Retract bug

G10 is a firmware retract. You can see it after the G92 E0
Here are the files to explain the problem.

Retract bug

I use a little script to use my firmware retract... However i'm getting a problem with my skirt layer since there is a retract called before the part is started... Either it would need to perform an unretract before starting the part or get rid of the retract before moving to the part. :( The proble...

Re: Skirt under extrusion

new guy here, been working on this sort of stuff for a few weeks now and think I have a handle on the bed height thing.. Make a model that is a single wall square at least 35mm square 2 mm tall and a wall thickness of your extrude width. Print the square and measure the thickness with a digital cal...

Skirt under extrusion

Problem is simple. My printer calibration is perfect. Bed has 0.1mm deviation all over. Z probe height is perfect. If I want my skirt to stick to bed, my part ends up with an elephant foot. If I baby step to get my part to not elephant foot my skirt doesn’t adhere well to the bed. Either i raise ext...

Re: Dual extrusion standby temp

I know that... that’s not what the point of this request was. Duetweb control uses a standby temp for unused tools, cura includes it also.

It just makes so much sense to predict tool change and slice the part accordingly. Reduces print time, reduces oozing and simplifies the settings.

Dual extrusion standby temp

Cura has it... I know there is a workaround using the tool change script but it would be way more intuitive (and get faster print times) to set an Active/Standy/Off temperature for each toolhead. As an example i'm printing key tags for a customer fleet of vehicles where i have to write text with T1 ...

Re: Safe idle temperature for second nozzle printing PVA

Bumping this thread. Just a suggestion but an easy way to implement this in would be to add an “idle temperature” to each hotend/tool. When the part is getting sliced, the software knows approximately the time between each operation and could start off nozzle heating before the actual tool change. T...

Favorite settings tab

Hey, One feature i think would be really useful is a "favorite setting tab". I'm a s3d power user and when it comes down to changing settings on the fly it's not so easy. Let's be honest, once we get our settings tweaked out, we'll only change a few of them. In my case, depending on part i...
