Re: Model orientation not adjusted when switching printers

Sorry Jason, bit this is kind of ridiculous. If you wanted users to use only ONE process all the time, then what use is it to be able to create multiple processes in the first place? I used to have multiple processes for multiple printer in the list. And then chose the process I needed for a particu...

Re: Multiple Printer print volume not changing

The software is designed so that the processes represent what you want to print on that given machine . It really doesn't make sense to have multiple processes for different printers in the same workspace. That's not how it was designed. Lots of the tools in the software like the Variable Settings ...

Re: Multiple Printer print volume not changing

Are you talking about profiles or processes? You should typically only need a single process in your workspace. You can then double-click on that process and select your printer settings from the "Select profile" drop down list. All of the profile settings are already saved permanently in...

Model orientation not adjusted when switching printers

Hi there, Just came across an annoying problem with Simplify 3D V5.01. I use several types of printers which also have different sized print platforms. For each printer I have listed several processes which of course each have their respective settings as needed for that particular printer. I have n...

Solid layers with different infill patterns

Just installed Version 5.0 and am looking into the new features. I saw the new infill patterns for the solid layers. Like the idea because it can make the top layers look better than before However, when selecting concentric layers, it means that ALL the top layers will be printed in that way. Which...

Re: S3D 4.01 skipping/omitting parts in prints

I don't have S3D available at the moment to create a FFF-file. But I have included the STL-file. I have noticed that on many occassions, Simplify will not show a solid 'look' the model loaded when Cura does not seem to have the same issue. When this happens, I often will do a repair through the Netf...

S3D 4.01 skipping parts, not printing closed surface

I have posted the blow message in the general topics list. https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9840 In short, S3D is in my opinion not behaving like it should. When slicing the item mentioned in the post above, S3D will not finish a closed shell but instead print it in several parts...

Re: S3D 4.01 skipping/omitting parts in prints

Here are a few more examples. None of the options I tried would let the parts be connected. Why won't S3D at least print ONE single complete outline so all parts are connected?? To be sure: - Print nozzle: 0.4 mm - Automatic print width - 2 Shells - 30% infill (not that that matters in such thin par...

S3D 4.01 skipping/omitting parts in prints

First of all, I like Simplify 3D a lot. It maximizes my control over my printers to get the best results. However, I am having troubles with models where Simplify 3D V4.01 just seems to skip on parts on otherwise will leave openings in prints that should not be there. In most cases, I just resort to...

Perimeters not closed at thin walled part

I have a problem with printing an object for a customer. The problem is described as follows: The object has a few spots with holes in it where a small bolt will be pused through. Here, the walls get relatively thin. The problem is that whatever settings I uses, Simplify3D simply refuses to complete...
