Re: Bambu P1S - can v5 control everything out of the box?

Thanks for the reply, I see it's still missing tree supports, stp support, modifier meshes and few other features looking through the requests, along with the wifi that means I'd end up putting most things back and forth through slicers then :|

Bambu P1S - can v5 control everything out of the box?

As above, I've got a P1S with the AMS material changer - BS and Orcaslicer are really, really annoying the hell out of me with slicing bugs, fan speed issues with overhang detection, not being able to use a different material for infill vs walls, etc, stuff I never had any issue with back on S3D V4....

Crashing issues, with Windows 10, 21H1

Recently did the latest 21H1 update, along with updating my AMD drivers to 20.6.2 - I'm having crashing issues with simplify just closing with no error messages, I tried rolling back to the 20.6.1 AMD driver, no change, so I'm wondering if it's the latest windows updates, anyone else having problems?

Re: Printing with zero outlines gives an undersized part

Yep, that'll do me close enough for the moment, good idea.

Printing with zero outlines gives an undersized part

Probably not an intended use for most people but a little buggy all the same - if you try to print a model with zero outlines, the part actually shrinks by one line width - it's like the slicer plans the infill with a single virtual outer wall there. Easily seen if you have a brim on - there's a sin...

Re: Version 5 Announcement

Honestly I'm kinda at the point where I'm not expecting a release any more and I'm a little worried about future support too to be honest, it might be time for me to start looking for alternative slicers again as even though S3D is still my go to others have some nicer tricks these days for some awk...

Re: how to manage support separation when printing at large layer heights?

It'd certainly be a lot better if you could put support and infill layers on divisions of normal layer height as well as multiples, if you're using half mm layer heights sometimes you only want the seperation to be a half or quarter layer, same for structural infill with alternating patterns, it'd b...

Re: Single Extrusion voids/bug

Great, unfortunately tolerances won't allow more overlap for this atm - the parts have to come out with less than a tenth of a mm size-wise to keep them on spec through temperature changes, so I'll have do a little jiggling with the sizes first. I do have some more parts that show the same single in...

Re: Single Extrusion voids/bug

I can send one in, but I can't post it here publically as the model is commerical.

Re: Single Extrusion voids/bug

Eh? It's a single extrusion that's causing the gap, you can see it's the correct width in half the points and not in others. Works fine on other layers: S3dBug.jpg I'm not sure if it's just a rendering bug but it does seem to coincide with the models that have some issues with single extrusion fills.
