Re: v4 rafts - first object layer not filled

I have no experience with v3, so for me this was always a problem. Thank you for starting this thread @bludin and to @brian442 and @dkightley for providing additional hints. I will try the suggestions, and hopefully see positive results.
I am very grateful !

Which setting will bring the supports closer to the curves?

E884215D-63F6-48F2-AEA4-7947E27F978E.jpeg I have zero issues with supports under large surfaces, but NEVER get good support when the object is small and vertically convex. I went nuts manually inserting supports, so I’m assuming I have a setting that I’m overlooking. 6A96CF70-A80A-4C85-AD91-9D0E225...

Re: PETG blues (well, yellow)

I changed the extruder multiplier to 1.05 and had the same symptoms. Always seems to print great close to the heated bed, and then crappy as it travels higher (bed lower). Fans are off. Any other ideas? I tried to increase the extruder multiplier to 1.10 and wound up with a lot of blobs and some bur...

Re: PETG blues (well, yellow)

Here is another photo - looks like underextrusion , but why would the lower 4 to 5 layers print okay? I believe all of the speeds are the same, as are the support speed multipliers

Before you post any more photos, any chance you can sort out the photos you've posted that don't show? Rather than trying to link in from a photo site, why not use the forum's attachment feature. Its a breeze to use!! Grey bar at the bottom of the posting window...."Upload attachment"...a...

Re: confusion over speed

S3D is nice in that everything is based on the default speed. So you just decrease that one value and it will slow everything down. thank you for your reply. yes, I am finding it to be a very amazing tool. The learning curve is a bit rough for newbie like me, but I can appreciate its strength and e...

PETG blues (well, yellow)

I'm new to 3D printing and slicing, so please be patient with me. At first, I was just using the PLA profile and adjusting temps for PETG. Of course, the quality of the print was horrible https://ibb.co/cvJuUF Then, I learned a bit about the retraction settings and print speed, and thought I was mak...
