Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

Yes, once in a while I pop in here to check to see if anything has happened.

As far as I am concerned Simplify3D 5 is in the same category of vaporware as Duke Nukem Forever. One day, many many years down the road, it may come out, and it will most likely be...disappointing.

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

I just don't understand the total lack of communication going on here. I mean throw us a bone, show us those super duper new "killer features" in some videos/gifs/pics that should be enough for people to wait. Instead we got silence and a promise of some kind of paid upgrade, no wonder people think...

Re: transfer license to another computer

Interestingly, there actually hasn't been a major release of any kind since you bought your license so indeed you can still run "the latest version".

Just log into your account and download from there.

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

simplify is only on my machine until i can cobble together a decent prusa slicer profile for my sapphire pro then its gone Isn't that a bit of an over-reaction? V5 not coming out does not make V4 suddenly unusable. I still think that S3D is the easiest slicer to use out there. I have tried every ot...

Hello S3D Team A very simple question. When will the new version 5 come? To make it easy, I'll give you several possible answers. Then you have more time to program. This year Next year I don't know Not at all Their response has consistently been some variation "I don't know" or "one day". The COMP...

Re: Simplify3D on iOS

I would definitely be interested in S3D on iPadOS, but considering that they've been unsuccessful in releasing so much as a bug-fix update over the last two years, I question the use of resources being put into yet another platform.

Re: Brim inside the object

+1 for internal brim

In the meantime, I just checked SuperSlicer and it does have an option for internal brims, so in the meantime you might give that a shot.

Agree the "support enforcers" and "support blockers" are clunky as hell. S3D's is far and away better.

Now if painting really works as well as they advertise...that might change things considerably.

Re: Extruder stops extruding mid print

Can you post the gcode that you are printing, and also specify what layer height it's stopping at?

It sounds like a bug/error in the gcode, possibly an incomplete file.
