Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

Upgraded my Prusa to an i3 MK3S and started using PrusaSlicer-2.2.0. Yes, it nice having their separate filament settings, ability to show remaining time, and some other features/improvements, etc. But, even with bunch of tweaks, their supports just don't match S3D. Guess what I am saying is v5 is ...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

I actually told them not to purchase this software and stick with Cura until your team starts giving us something, whether it be a progress update or an actual update. That hurt to say but I can't recommend to someone to spend $200+ dollars and hope it's worth it. I have been doing the same thing. ...

Re: 4.1 prints supports when told not to print them

It would still be better if they renamed "remove all supports" to what it actually does, which is "does not remove all supports but makes you think it did so you get upset when you print and there are still supports, since you expected remove all to actually mean remove all".

Re: Support for Resin printers? - AnyCubic Photon and others

For now, Prusa's Slic3r fork has support for Resin printers, due to them selling one.

Re: UPS for 3D Printer?

The size would really depend on how long you expect power to be out and what temps you are print at. But for printing PLA with a heated bed on a Prusa I3 MK3: While idle, the I3 Mk3 used 8W of power. To preheat the bed, it used 250W and to preheat the nozzle it used 220W. Again, the consumption drop...

We do have a MMU2 profile we can send you! Please contact us at support@simplify3d.com
Why not just make it public? Why so secretive?

Re: Support for MMU2

I have given up hope they will actually create a usable profile for the MMU. One that does not require a lot of work just to do what I can automatically do in PrusaSlic3r. If they had any plans to support it, they would have done so by now. The oldest thread I could find, asking for support for the ...

One year and one month after they first mentioned they were making it...since free upgrades are only for a year.

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

Once Prusa gets their Slic3r PE to have the same ease of adding and removing supports as S3D has, it is game over for S3D. That is the one area they REALLLY shine in, and are FAR ahead of everyone else.
