Re: Anet A8 Plus

Just to say that everything seems to be working with an A8 profile modified for the bigger build volume. I'm currently exporting gcode to TF but I plan to try hooking up the USB shortly.

Anet A8 Plus

Does anyone have or know whether there is an S3D profile for the Anet A8 plus? There doesn't seem to be one listed yet on the S3D HCL.

Thanks

Re: how to prevent support on just one of the parts in a process

Perhaps I've misunderstood, but as using a separate process is arguably the simplest and the "correct" way to achieve this, why is that you specifically want to avoid doing this? It seems a little like saying you'd like the quickest way to get from A to B but not want to use a straight line.

Re: Port Communication FFCP and Windows

I have a FFCP and also run by USB so I understand entirely why you'd want to do it (I can print from anywhere, for instance). What I would do 1 - Unplug the USB and have printer off 2 - Uninstall Flashprint completely 3 - Reboot computer for good measure 4 - Re-install Flashprint from scratch and se...

Re: Support for Resin printers? - AnyCubic Photon

I'd love this too, but as the mechanisms for SLA and DLP are so radically different than for FDM it seems like a significant diversion and the resultant product would be so different to the FDM one, that it would bear almost no relation. The vast majority of the slicer settings wouldn't be relevant. ...

Re: printing over usb vs sd card

As TheBum has said, an external computer will always be doing something else and that something else could be disruptive. I too like (and rely on) the convenience of having an external control via PC. I can control and initiate prints from anywhere using this method. I am using quite a high-spec mac...

Re: Wrong perimeters

Notionally, that is likely to be either under extrusion, or too low a temperature. Each will have an effect to stop the filament from flowing outwards sufficiently. Speed could also have an effect, printing too fast will also cause the filament to elongate and not be able to flow outwards. I'd try s...

Re: 6 walls but infill being added

There are a number of possible reasons for this 1) You don't have concentric infill selected (may help) 2) If the gaps between the perimeters is not a multiple of the extrusion width then it cannot infill with a single extrusion and will create a wavy infill. Eg. if the extrusion width is 0.4 and th...

Re: Dual Extrusion Ooze Shield - How To Prime On All Layers?

An alternative (and arguably better) approach would be to stick with the multiple processes and switch off the redundant extruder when it's not being used. You need to allow some warm-up time, but that should be easy to allow for. That way you should get no ooze and also save some power.
