Well, file, import doesnt work
but opening it from the file explorer ans selecting S3D did work....
I then saved it as ASCii rather than binary and it behaves as normal and opens from file, import then.
Thanks for posting that fixed file.
However although this STL opens and looks right in solidworks, it refuses to load in my version of Simplify3D, which I dont understand.
I was looking for something to make PVA useable in the second nozzle, because it generally is not seable for supoort at all with this software. the pva is burned and clogged by the time it becomes time to extrude some... unless oyu have lots of pva support, and a very small cross section of model......
My model was fine: 2.PNG edited it slightly, a little narrower, a little shorter, and now its impossible to print 1.PNG the CAD is solidworks2016, I had the issue with s3D 3.xx (cant remember the numbers), upgraded to the latest, still the same issue. Went back to solidworks and tried all sorts of s...
Are there any different pattern options for support structures? other slicers have many... Can you even vary the angle that the only available dumb pattern of supports is created? yes I can rotate the part, instread, but really... than maybe it doesn't fit on the square build base... The support st...
I'm finding the way simplify 3D saves settings counter intuitive and confusing. I understand that I have develop my settings for each material, and printer. What I want to end up with is a developed setting for each material on each printer. Then I want to fine tune those settings for each particula...
I have been experimenting with wall thicknesses and wondering why I get separation with no infill and why it is unpredictable. nozzle is 0.4mm, so one might imagine a 0.2 gap in a 1mm wall, no gap in a 1.2 wall.... number of layers on the outside affects this so that the gap re-appears when the wall...
OK I will check Override GcTemp on the printer settings when my print finishes. hopefully that is the problem (printer panel set temps overide the G code).
I set my temps to 80c on the build plate and 250 on the extruder for PETg on my flashforge creator pro. But when I run the build it is using some random temperatures (100c on the plate and 230 on the extruder). Before the last simpolify3D software update I'm sure it was working correctly. I think wh...
