Re: Accurate hole dimension using polygones

You may be reading the graph incorrectly. The greater the vertex count the better. The scale goes from 0.5-1 on the left side where staying closer to 1 is better. Also this is a function of the CAD software on export. I you want a better print decrease the surface deviation and/or angle which produc...

Re: Perimeter around surface layers on top of infill

Or an option to inflate the external Infill by a (mm) amount if adjacent to internal infill would be perfect. Just like the option to inflate bridging there would be expand external infill. This is the one thing S3D does less then poorly. The logic is already there in their code. Just need to apply ...

Re: Print head crashes at end of print!

change the Z140 to Z170 if your actual z max height is 170. in the Ending Scripts under Script Tab. Simple? No? Mine is Z235.

Re: 4.1 Sequential Broken or Not?

Guess the real question is.... What is that magical distance between models?
And can we adjust it? and why are we not allowed to adjust it?

My thoughts are a loose belt.
also...
looking at this machine the e-step should be the same for both x and y. are they?
is the scale on the item at 100% for both X, Y, and Z

Re: Outer perimeter seam optimisation

Truthfully I like the random start points much better in 4.0.1 which was considered to be a bug. I did not think it was bug as the result made a better surface finish. in 4.1.1 it forces a start to happen on the outside and nut just lead in from in internal contour. The options should be: Random sta...

Re: Reload Part

This posting started back in 2014? and seems to get a lot of attention. I would hope this would be part of version 5? I would think checking the last absolute value for a last modify change would suffice. Then do you have it recenter everything? re-apply all rotations and scale? I assume there will ...

Re: No Bottom Dense Support Layer

Ah! Now I see. Never noticed it before. I don;t have a dual extuder yet... but working on one. The advantage is you can assign your soluble support to just the dense layers. And use regular material for the other support layers. The problem I have had with dense support it tends to put a bunch of li...

Re: G-Code Editor & Pause Command

-1 The system 4.1.2 now is way more flexible. Did you notice in your Gcode the process name is stated? I use the replace to search for the word "-pause" which I just tack on to the end of the process name. Then is pauses at the start of that process. NO MORE COUNTING LAYERS. I can even change layer ...

Yes please. this is the only software the does this annoying zoom and frustrating.
find my self zoom than panning all around trying to find that spot again. just to zoom back out so I can figure out where I am again!
