Hey guys, thanks for the good suggestions. What happened was the hard drive i was trying to save gcode files to was full except for 10kb or so.
Maybe change S3d to give "disk full" error msg rather than save a 0 kb file.

I uninstalled and reinstalled V4.0 on Monday night, and did Help/reset all settings. Same symptoms before and after. I am going to deauthorize this PC and try an install on a laptop that has never had S3D. I am kind of invested in using my main desktop for slicing as part of the whole Fusion/netfabb...

test.factory Ok, went to file/New, added a couple of stl's, confirmed process1 was applied, preview window shows the slice. still a 0kb gcode output. saved factory file as test.factory went back and opened the first factory file attached above- it has one of the stl's in the model list, but preview...

Ok, I closed and reopened the factory file. it still has two stl files and one process in it as far as I can see in the app. I reattached the factory fil.

Factory file attached. complete new uninstall and reinstall of s3d 4.0. and Help/Reset All settings went back through and set everything up for a simple PLA mateial, including my start script, etc. (Lotta Fun) Imported a couple of .stls. made sure models were selected . slices fine in preview, can s...

Thanks for the reply, this is not a model selection issue, it happens even with a new factory file with only one stl in it, that model is automatically selected normally. I have confirmed the model start and end height checkboxes are cleared, and in any case this happens with all factory files tried...
