Re: V5 restore the speed and extrusion knobs/method

Sadly I don't think it's going to be in V5 ever. But will be some how reintroduced in V6. Honestly, I though a version was going to start dropping every year. But maybe too few people purchased the new license to keep the ball rolling. Everything's kinda gone dark. According to my license I purchase...

Re: Show me backwards parts

at some time in the past it was necessary to reverse Y. However, that is no longer true. I am able to run the program with a default profile, plus number of extruders, heated bed and build area, without flipping any axis. That being said, the program specifically states the axis reversal is for visu...

Ironing and Adaptive Layer Height, the next step.

What actually happens: When I print a benchy, the layers effected by the reduction or expansion permeate the entire layer. Historically, S3D slicing engine has caused artifacts in layers where ever the head changed direction or speed from the prior layer for any reason. It became very obvious in th...

Show me backwards parts

So this is not a new issue. I had this back in V412 but I just kinda lived with it. All imported objects are inverted on the X axis. -Using mirror mesh on the X axis Resolves the issue. -Using mirror mesh on the Y axis also works but it puts the object upside down. To be clear, there are obvious wor...

Re: V5.1.2.0 crashing: no error on screen

Almost had a fun bug to add. I will simply reference it here since in prep to post the bug, it promptly ran away. Created a copy of the file, and restarted S3D to be sure everything was reproducible. I had previously gone in and out of the print mode and gotten the same results, several times. Fortu...

Re: V5.1.2.0 crashing: no error on screen

For sure. However, it wasn't the file itself. In fact there really wasn't much of anything model wise just a small vase test. The issue was happening when I started trying to switch on functions to run a benchy. But every time S3D crashed causing me to loose everything i just flipped on and the impo...

Re: Dynamic reduction of speed

So to be clear, this is specifically the perimeter speed reduction? -I see nothing that says this should effect any other aspect of printing including infill. -and to be fair the the only thing in the PR, is a tiny one line comment as part of a graphic. Regardless, based on how I do my work, this is...

V5.1.2.0 crashing: no error on screen

I have figured out how to crash the program. Well not figured out but did it 2 times in a row. Pretty sure it's related to infill. Program "drops" after I try "prepare to print". - Just vanishes. No error on screen. Will update this original post as I worm out the details. Faulti...

multiple BabySteps on one layer

Many clever things can be accomplished with S3D that no other slicer can. Yet I find myself at a loss to create this one. Without some nonsense processes. Right now I create a brim. The brim is part of the model and easily removed later. But the brim serves not just to help hold the part to the bed ...

Re: Dynamic reduction of speed

Finally starting to get some solid results with V5. I am able to test changes, for better, for worse. One I can report does seem to be for better is what does seem to be the inclusion of a function that is behaving very much as requested. Though as far as I know this was never marked as a planned in...
