Re: Licence V4 to V5

The reduction in activations is an upgrade deal breaker for me.

Hope you are able to find new customers. It is now a much more competitive market than it was when you last released anything.

So long and thanks for all the pish.

Windows 11, ARM and security question

Hi Simplify 3D. Firstly I would like to commend your software as it has withstood a test of time and continues to function despite everything MS tries to do to undermined development on it's platform. However... The wheels of change continue to grind, Windows now has a genuine Linus subsystem, and n...

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

I think it is fair to say that after this, a subscription based service would be a complete non-starter. It is also very unlikely the few users they still have will pay a premium price for an upgrade - since there are now alternative (and actively developed) products that are quite as capable. It is...

Simplify3D support/licensing for old version

Hi, This is perhaps jumping the gun a little, but what will the position be regarding support for the existing Simplify3D V4 when V5 is released? Given the extensive development time that the new version is taking, one might guess that it will be an entirely new piece of software. This means two dif...

Re: Support for Resin printers? - AnyCubic Photon and others

Since I have a newly acquired Creality LD-002R I would also like to see it supported. But I think it is unlikely to appear in the current product as it's a completely different application. However, should they wish to venture into this field and produce an alternative to Chitubox - perhaps as anoth...

Re: FFF file location?

The profiles are stored in the Windows registry in xml format. Some enterprising admin with fairly basic Powershell scripting and an understanding of the windows registry could probably cook up a clever way to violate any sort of support agreement they might hope to have with Simplify3D. However it ...

Factory file name generation

It would be useful if there was a way to configure auto-generation of factory file names based on job properties. (Maybe other file types too) For example, printer, filament profile, job name properties might be incorporated. However there are other 'properties' that might be useful. Date, custom te...

Factory file management

Factory files are an excellent means to capture a complete print, and offer a useful means to store 'validated' prints for future re-use. However, beyond employing elaborate file naming conventions, there is no easy way to manage or even search them. It would be helpful to provide some facility for ...

Re: Tip of the Day 10- Extruder tab, a technical analysis

I have to echo the view that surfacing this information in the application itself would be very cool indeed. If S3D ever decide to do a UI make-over I would put it high on the list of desirable features. We love the articles on this site and are happy to visit it for a good read, but these snippets ...

Sequential printing on single model

Hi I am printing a large rectangular flat piece. I can print it as it, but one of it features raises a question about sequential processes. The object is about 250mm x 250mm in XY and only about 5mm Z over the model. However, at each corner there is a tab that is about 15mm in Z. Conceptually, you c...
