The S3D folks just emailed me an updated profile. I'm very impressed with their excellent level of attentiveness and support!

It's attached here.

Re: Qidi X-Pro Amazon review with potentially useful setting

That was VERY helpful, thanks. Will test another cube today.

Meanwhile, the S3D customer service guy emailed me the official Qidi X-Pro profile, which is attached here.

Re: Qidi X-Pro Amazon review with potentially useful setting

Next question: I printed out a 1 inch cube using the high quality settings. When measuring it with a micrometer, it's about .995 on each side depending on whether it's measured at the top or in the middle. Is there a master setting that consistently compensates for the -0.5% scaling error outside of...

Re: Qidi X-Pro Amazon review with potentially useful setting

It's working! I have it set to high quality, so I'm running a 1 inch cube and a test piece that should interface with a machined part if it's dimensionally correct. So far, the edge quality is much better than with the Qidi software.

Re: Qidi X-Pro Amazon review with potentially useful setting

Aha! That explains it.

I only work with PLA, so if you could please set one up with a PLA left and PLA right, both with the PLA temperatures, that would be great.

Re: Qidi X-Pro Amazon review with potentially useful setting

OK. The gcode file works. You have the bed temp set way up to 100C, but it works. I was playing with the factory file for a few minutes at lunch and I guess I don't know what I'm doing. A local buddy can help me, though. I was trying to change from ABS to PLA at the upper left and set a left extrude...

Re: Qidi X-Pro Amazon review with potentially useful setting

Update:

Same story as before. It does everything except extruded filament onto the platform (at 190 degrees). There is a VERY thin smearing of filament, but it isn't really extending. I tried a gcode file from the Qidi software and it worked without problems at 190 degrees.

I'm puzzled.

Re: Qidi X-Pro Amazon review with potentially useful setting

Wow! Thank you so much for replying to my post. I was hoping that would happen. I have the settings loaded and have a test gcode file all set to run after my current print is done. I still don't understand why you have the PLA extruder temps set so high. I turned them down to what I know works (190C...
