Re: Save soluble support material

Oops, thank you, Doug! :D I previously encountered the "dense support" feature, but was so far not aware what one could actually do with it. Great! I'll try it out. BTW since you tell me not to get too excited: did you try it? What are the flaws (other than the usual fuss with printing PVA...

Save soluble support material

Soluble support material like PVA is quite expensive, compared to the price for PLA. Besides that, it's often not easy to print. :? I have a proposition, which could help save nerves and money: print only a couple of layers where the support structures actually touch the model with the (e.g.) second...

Separate template from print settings

My proposition is to separate the current settings for a print (i.e. a process), from template settings. Let me explain: the current way the profile is handled is, that as one changes a setting in the process , one changes in fact the profile (indicated by "(modified)"). When we eventually...

[FIXED] Ooze shield and prime pillar

I'm using dual extrusion and I am having serious issues with S3D, even with the new version 4.0.1, which claims to have solved at least the prime pillar issue. But it seems, it's not truly fixed yet, as I observed three basic problems: 1) the ooze shield is (at least most of the time) being printed ...

Request to re-organize settings

First, I want point out that I am very satisfied with the functionality of Simplify3d as of version 4.0 with all it's settings, the possibilities to treat different parts of the model in different ways, custom support and the like. I use the program a lot, almost every day lately, and I use it with ...
