Re: I'm thinking about purchasing Simplify3D for my Robo R1 plus

I prefer S3D over mattercontrol any day. The interface in S3D feels nicer and cleaner. I also feel the slicing is much better than in mattercontrol. S3D has your printer in their database, so it should be plug and play with little tuning from the settings. I’ve never had a robo, but I know every pri...

Re: Extruder Path To Avoid Crossing Infil Or Body Of Part

I agree some printers don't handle z-hop well or are slow at moving the z axis. Cura has “avoid printed parts” which is similar to what you're requesting. I think if implemented better than Cura, with optimized paths and rounded turns, it could be an outstanding feature. Possibly adding the ability ...

Re: Simplify3d 4.1.2 does NOT run after install.

Have you tried this yet: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/faq/#faq-4628 ?

A clean wipe tends to fix most issues. Also check for graphics card driver updates.

Re: PLA Stringing Increases With Reduction In Temps.

I believe lowering the temperature causes filament in the nozzle gets more viscous which requires more pressure that build up in the nozzle. That pressurized filament needs to go somewhere and its not all going up towards the bowden tube, so it goes out through the nozzle during movements. Increasin...

Re: Bed Leveling file

The S3D bed leveling is all manual. All it does is move the nozzle to the predefined X&Y coordinates set by you so that you can adjust bolts on your bed to level it. Make sure you read the small paragraph in the wizard that explains exactly what it does. If you're not referring to S3D's bed leveling...

You need to give us more information. What exactly do you see when you've attempted to load S3D? Computer specs and OS version could be helpful.

If using a micro sd card works, why not just use it....?

Re: Dynamic speed control - improved print quality on corners

@SJC As per everything I've read about makerbots dynamic speed, it looks like its just a slicer based form of acceleration. As well, a lot of users seem to complain the feature doesn't do real well or improve quality. I'm not sure if this is because of poor implementation or its just not beneficial ...
