Re: Gaps in Perimeters (Again)

I recommend switching your extruder for something like a bondtech if you ever plan to modify your extruder any bit. I recently switched mine out for a bondtech LGX and won’t be looking back at MG’s. It mainly shines with flexy material which the MG’s underperforms. Play with your jerk settings too-S...

Re: Gaps in Perimeters (Again)

Have you made any changes to your M2's firmware or board?

Side note-
Scrap esun filament and move to a higher quality plastic.
Check your extruder, their plastic extruder housing is not great
Scrap S3D and move to Cura or Prusa Slicer

Re: Fit parts on print bed

Netfabb has a great 2D build plate packer for situations like this. With it, I've been able to pack more parts on my build plate than imaginable. If you don't have access to it and want to pack a lot of these clips, send me a PM and I could help pack them with it.

Re: Odd Fill Pattern

Remove the text and it should go away. I almost never use concentric due to side effects like this with detailed geometry. Your best bet is to stick to rectilinear.

Re: Holes in top layer, rough surface

Looking better! There's still a bit of a defect in the letters where the blob was, but with that geometry/overhang it'll probably never be perfect. I'm sure with more tuning in S3D(cooling, retraction, etc), you could probably manage to get it to look as good as cura.

Re: Holes in top layer, rough surface

The top layer definitely looks over extruded. As for the "blobs" on the X and Y letters, it's almost impossible to eliminate with the overhang geometry. Raise your bed to nozzle gap and cool off your heated bed a little to reduce your elephant foot.

Re: USB Vz SD Card

USB has a higher risk of failure but in the 3 years of USB printing on one of my printers, I've never had one issue. As long as your PC doesn't go to sleep, shut off, or get bogged down too much, you shouldn't have any problems. If you have multiple printers going at once, you'll of course want to u...

Re: Top layer over holes?

You are under extruding, increase your "extrusion multiplier". If you want the top to overlap the perimeters more, increase "outline overlap"

Re: MP Voxel issues - Not happy at all with this expensive software

I've heard people have got it to work. Piggy back off another profile or click "other" and create your own.

"Try it for a full two weeks!
If you don’t love the software, return it for a full refund."

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

@deutchbag I’m in the same boat as you. I will definitely buy it if I see enough features. Heck, I’d re-buy S3D if we received a good enough update. Nice name BTW At this point, I’m skeptical on this V5 with the history of updates and unprofessionalism by S3D. What I don’t think they understand is m...
