Re: 4.1.1 version: can't change first layer width on raft

Did you adjust the Global-Z height at the same time as increasing the first layer height? Yes i did it. The size increases, but the thickness setting made in this way is not very functional and it is necessary to proceed by trial. The "First layer Width" parameter worked fine on previous ...

4.1.1 version: can't change first layer width on raft

Hi. My previous projects can't be printed with the version 4.1.1 of the software. The first raft layer is too tiny and it does not stick on the printing bed. I noticed the following change: "Using a first layer height below 100% will now correctly reduce the amount of extruded material (alterna...

Vertical lift issue

Hello, I'm using a custom profile for my Cetus 3D printer. When I try to set up "Retraction Vertical Lift" of 1 mm, the Z axis starts with a retraction beyond the movement stroke, causing a loss of the stepper motor position. This is the generated G code of the starting sequence: G92 E0 ; ...

Re: Dense support issue

A very good question. I've got the settings how they are by many small tweaks over a long time of printing. This is what I like about S3D....once you get the permutation of settings right, the results can be very, very good! Yes, this is what I'm learning day by day (I'm new to 3D printing). With S...

Re: Dense support issue

I've modified the manual support and settings in your factory file to how I would set up for my printer to get easy-peel support! Upgrade to the latest software release if you're not there already.....and try my settings to see if they help. The sofware version I'm using is 4.0.1. I've successfully...

Re: Dense support issue

Turn off extra inflation distance and see if it helps any. Yes, it does, but not at all, that's why I suppose there could be a bug: http://download.developembedded.com/s3d_img/Istantanea%20-%2020022018%20-%2014:59:21.png My printer is a Cetus 3D. I'm trying to get the same easy-to-remove support as...

Re: Dense support issue

As there are areas where you do not want support...ie the groove.....I would not use the automatic placement of support and place support where you want it manually. What's happening is that the auto placement is trying to put support inside the groove....and your support settings are doing the res...

Dense support issue

Hello. I've problem printing a small object with dense support. The object has on its base a little groove for a seeger ring, that doesn't need support. This is the front view of the object: http://download.developembedded.com/s3d_img/Istantanea%20-%2020022018%20-%2008:11:08.png The support has been...
