Filament Runout Sensor

Greetings all! I have a Creality CR-10s Pro and I have happened across a weird bug. When slicing with S3D, the filament runout sensor is ignored. However, when slicing with Cura, it magically works again. I have sliced a calibration cube in both and investigated the starting scripts of both but have...

Re: Missing sections from print?

Okay,
That's just plain confusing. I tried to do that when I had everything set up on the build plate and it still errored but putting the tower by itself and doing it works fine.

Thanks!

Re: First layer help?

I'm using an i3 clone I built. The Z-offset seemed to resolve the issue really well.

Thanks!

Missing sections from print?

Hi all!
S3D is missing entire sections from this model when I try to slice it. Cura, however, doesn't have that issue. Below, I have attached an image of what S3D is doing. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Re: First layer help?

Thanks guys!

My bed uses a proximity probe and auto-leveling so I will have to add it to the Z offset. I'll give that a go and see if that fixes my issues.

First layer help?

My first layer settings are

67% layer height
150% layer width
60% speed

The rest is set at

.2 layer height
80mm/s speed

There are still gaps in the first layer but those are the best settings as anything else results in a feathered looking first layer. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Actually, Blackbird was correct. I had that checked and as soon as I unchecked it, that seemed to clear any issues I was having.

Thank you!

Top of model is rendered as one solid piece

Greetings! I am trying to print out this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1271858 Unfortunately, slicing it in S3D cause the top to be rendered as one solid piece. If I select "Separate Connected Surfaces" I get over 600 items and, if it doesn't lock it up, it still renders the top...
