Re: Thin walls not Infilling and Top Layers not sealing

Thanks, Doug.

Turns out I *STILL* didn't supply enough data - we don't use the bottom profile for that print, but the one near the middle named "ABS 50% on 2 50% fan".

Can you list and describe what tweaks you made?

Your assistance is most appreciated!

Re: Thin walls not Infilling and Top Layers not sealing

Dear Horst;

"Nevertheless try out to set INFILL >>> Minimum Infill Length down to zero (now 1 mm)."

Checking with my associate revealed that we had indeed tried the 0.00mm Minimum Infill Length setting.

Thanks!

Re: Thin walls not Infilling and Top Layers not sealing

Dear Horst; Thank you for your helpful reply! "A FFF-Profil doesn't replace a FACTORY-File! A factory contains also the STL of the model and this is needed to find out the reason." I have read that the S3D Terms of Service prohibit publicly posting Factory Files, and that specific queries ...

Cleaned .STL Appears Will Print As Solid Block

An .STL file from Thingiverse was imported into Sketchup, defects cleaned up, until no defects were reported either by CleanUp2 or Sketchup itself upon Saving. Preview in 3DS showed a solid block, and in fact a short print attempt began with a solid bottom even though there were openings all through...

Hang Before Printing Starts, Requiring ESTOP, Then Print w/USB Again

After both temperatures have been reached and stabilized, clicking [Print With USB] results in a status display of "Printing", but no printing ever results, even after minutes of waiting. Both temperatures remain at specified print levels. Clicking [Emergency Stop] then [Print With USB] be...

Changing Setting Requires Disconnect, Stop S3D, Cycle Power+

Changing a setting in FFF requires making the change, clicking OK, disconnecting from Rostock MAX V2, closing S3D, cycling printer power, then restarting S3D and reconnecting.
