Fusion 360 is not "web based" but rather heavily leveraging Cloud/web for storage.
Can you store locally instead?
Yes. There is a "cached" mode you can enable for offline use.

Re: CAD Recommendation to use with S3D

any cad tool will work with s3d as long as it can export STL out of free app's blender is the most stable & powerful one, but has a very steep learning curve .. it's best free thing to do modeling of organic stuff .. it's a mesh only modeler (don't understand solids) freecad is organized as eng...

Re: How to find extrusion speed

Assuming you are using S3D, just pick the appropriate printer profile which should get you close. Select the appropriate material profile (PLA, ABS, etc) for the filament you're using and print. Fine tune extrusion rate from there under the Extrude tab.

Re: Cad software

Beginner beginner... Tinkercad. Get your feet wet and create some basic objects although I've seen some really impressive models come out of Tinkercad.

After that and beyond... Fusion 360. Free for the home hobbyist and you can do it all.

My $.02.

Re: Multi process continuous printing crashing.

Yeah, same model but different issue so I figured a new post. This model and the many processes are to help calibrate retraction and bridging settings, each process with a slight tweak up the ladder. I did find a connection between the process I select when entering "Prepare to Print". If ...

Re: Why are these bridges not connected?

Thank you! That did it. My original model was made in Fusion 360 using separate bodies. Didn't realize they needed to be broken up to slice correctly.

The processes are for testing different retraction and bridging settings up the ladder.

Thanks.

Why are these bridges not connected?

Hours spent on this. The bridges are not connected to the main pole bodies after slicing, so when I print they barely connected. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Multi process continuous printing crashing.

Built a little retraction test model with 7 processes. S3D crashes every time trying to sequentially print layer by later whenever I select more than 3 processes.

Re: Vase mode seams / pauses at ech "layer"

I had a similar issue when trying to vase mode a model that was not a solid object. I designed a cube to test temps but hollowed it out myself making the walls .4 mm. I assume you also have "Optimize starting points for fastest printing speed" turned on under the Layer tab. That's why the ...
