Re: Pla printed part question

Put the rod in the drill and work it in an out of the hole.. Don't run it too fast as the heat from friction will cause the pla to get soft quickly.

Re: How does solid model orientation dropped to S3D relate to its orientation in Fusion360?

Have not used fusion yet, but I assume you have 3 planes to start with. Take note of which plane you model is on , export it and bring it into S3D. If it is not in the same orientation, flip back to F360 and figure out which plane it would have needed to be on to be right side up. Next time use that...

Re: Small-scale printing recomendations

for D&D I found PLA worked better than ABS. Set you speed at 1800mmM or slower 1200mm/M would be ok as well. you only need 2 top 2 bottom and 2 shell layers. Set up supports is another story.. I will send you a link to some Factory D&D files I have printed when I get home this weekend. I printed abo...

Re: Supports keep falling over

The skirt will be one layer high if you enter those values and be around the first layer of everything touching the build plate. You will need to cut/break it off the part but it will not take all day to build like a raft does.

Re: Supports keep falling over

Only can comment on 4.01 did not update. If you have a single support structure that will need to be very tall, I use a skirt. This will affect all part but it is not that hard to remove from the finished part. Under the additions tab, click use skirt/brim, skirt layer 1, Skirt Offset 0, Skirt outli...
