Most all of the dual extruder machine profiles I've used should feature a PLA and PVA combination material setting just for helping get those temperatures aligned with this tricky-ish combination of materials. I've used triangle infill successfully. The suggestion I gave earlier (Lower infill extrusion width %) is what I've personally used to not get stuttering or noise.

This should help with re-calculating steps/mm Link! Depending on firmware you might be able to simply send a g-code to update the stepping values with an M92 command. Though with a name like X-Smart you'd think the LCD would have controls for the stepping values.

Working from S3D's official troubleshooting guide, their suggestions are to verify the filament diameter is as accurate as possible and to decrease your extrusion multiplier.
