Re: New .fff import just copies another profile

Are there multiple processes in the process list when this happens? If so, have you tried with an empyt process list? Can you export and share with everyone the two profiles you mentioned that cause this to happen? (TAZ and Prusa) At first read over this thread, I originally thought this was mistaki...

Re: Exported GCode Layer Height not reported correctly

It's been a while since I tried out repetier server. I never had it incorrectly report layer numbers. Can you share the factory file for this print?

Re: Using 2nd extruder for support material??

Profiles are entire sets of settings meant for a printer. A process is an application of those settings to your model(s)/regions or your model(s) if utilizing the variable settings wizard. For the most part you're always editing a process. This means your stock profile is saved safely for you. If yo...

Re: Using 2nd extruder for support material??

Most all of the dual extruder machine profiles I've used should feature a PLA and PVA combination material setting just for helping get those temperatures aligned with this tricky-ish combination of materials. Also PVA has multiple printing tips on S3D's site. https://www.simplify3d.com/support/mate...

Re: Qidi X-Smart poor quality

All I have on this printer is a "fancy" LCD touchscreen that gives me no options besides manually moving the X Y and Z positions, and to level the bed. Otherwise it seems completely useless other than selecting a file from usb to print. It is similar (Probably the same) to the Qidi Tech X...

I too would like to see photos of your prints. Also, sharing your factory file, can help everyone get a look at the model and the preview of how your settings are applied to it.

Re: Look for help on fine detail distortions

Indeed I have. Thanks for straightening me up - I've gotten rid of the other file as I assume that's not needed, and this should lead to the factory file in it's most current form that I've used. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ujk7uv2jwc67je1/300%20Ken.factory?dl=0 I'd try increasing the minimum layer t...

Re: Triangle Infill

I've used triangle infill successfully. The suggestion I gave earlier (Lower infill extrusion width %) is what I've personally used to not get stuttering or noise.

Re: Qidi X-Smart poor quality

This should help with re-calculating steps/mm Link! Depending on firmware you might be able to simply send a g-code to update the stepping values with an M92 command. Though with a name like X-Smart you'd think the LCD would have controls for the stepping values.

Re: Nozzle lightly touching print....

Working from S3D's official troubleshooting guide, their suggestions are to verify the filament diameter is as accurate as possible and to decrease your extrusion multiplier.
