[FIXED] hi-dpi problem in windows 11

The s3d window in windows 11 has no scaling so everything is too tiny too read. There are two property settings that make it usable but they are both unacceptable. 1) Set High-DPI override at the application level in Simplify3D.exe properties. This fixes the application area nicely but the window fr...

I am printing a large cover, about 280x150x60 mm. The outside perimeter wall is 60mm tall and 3mm thick. Some of the wall prints with just long straight lines which is perfect. But some of it prints with a wiggly line that takes forever to print and is wearing out my printer. Here is a screenshot of...

Re: frame rendered as square

It was checked on the printer with the problem and not on the other. I will assume that was the problem. Thanks.

Re: frame rendered as square

You think my STL needs repair? It is an extremely simple model from fusion 360. I've enclosed the stl file. Can you tell me what is wrong with it or how to find out myself?

frame rendered as square

A frame model (square with a cutout square) rendered as a square without the cutout for my printrbot simple metal. It rendered correctly for my flashforge creator dual. I've attached screenshots to show the problem.

Re: horiz shrink missed a tooth on my gear

I think I was mistaken. I guess it was shrunk but the model was screwed up. How do I close this topic?

[SOLVED]horiz shrink missed a tooth on my gear

I have a gear with 8 teeth. I set the horizontal offset to -0.3. When rendered, one of the teeth did not have the shrink. This has worked many times before. See the before and after prints...

Re: how to restart a print?

FYI: I managed to do a restart by carefully manually editing the original gcode file. I gave up on trying to use the "start at height" feature of s3d.
