Re: Unable to slice letters on surface

Thank you. Appreciated the effort. I thought it would be a simple slicing configuration matter. I see now the stl generation is the culprit.

I think I will take a different approach and try other ways to generate the part.

Re: Unable to slice letters on surface

Thx for the investigation. This is part of a rc plane. Thin walls to make it lighter.

Was CAD in fusion 360. Without the writings it works great. Just trying to add the logo to the skin of the plane... A simple extruded sketch.

Unable to slice letters on surface

Not sure how to fix this. There is no way I can get all letters sliced with the same number of perimeters.. No matter what i do i get some sliced with more perimeters than others.

There must be s setting i am missing!

Thank you for your help.

Re: Need help with settting

Did some tests and managed to print with a lower temperature and some cooling. The layers seem to stick really well to each other still.

Thank you for your help

Re: Need help with settting

Will do. Just want to post I did some progress by diminishing the extruder temperature and adding a bit of cooling. I am printing 1 per shell and settings that worked were for a .4 nozzle with a manual extrusion width set to 0.42. I order to save on weight I was trying to thin the 1 perimeter shell ...

Need help with settting

Hello,

My prints are coming out with spikes and some of the walls are ragged and split.

I tried changing the "coasting distance" and later the "retraction distance" but that didn't seem to help.

Should I work with the oozing settings?

Thank you.

Need help with setup

Hello, I'm trying to print very thin one and two perimeter skins, but I keep getting these oozing thick strips of plastic, like spider arms. See picture. Other than under extrusion, is there any setting I should play with? I tried "Extra Retraction Distance" and then "Coasting Distanc...

Wrong Slicing of part

Why does Simplify3d shows correctly the part in the viewer but when slicing adds a solid layer in the hole?
