This is a known issue with release v4.0.
The solution is to upgrade to v4.0.1.

Is version 4.0.0 still available? There is still some other bugs in version 4.0.0 from what Doug mentioned (see below). I guess that we may as well wait for version 4.0.2

Thanks Doug and AirScapes, the post viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1973 got me a partial solution by setting the "Upper Vertical Seperation Layers" and "Lower Vertical Seperation Layers" bettween the processes. However this works only if the layer thickness is the same between processes...

This solution works as long as the layers have the same thickness. If you have a layer of 0.3mm in process 1 and 0.2 in process 2, the gap still stay there. this is a bug that shoud be easily corrected in Simplyfy3D and would also be very usefull whenever we need to optimize print speed and part qua...

I have the same problem but with the support layer that takes two layers before it starts printing after a process change. Without any process change, there is no problem.
